EXTENSION PROGRAM:

SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM.

PURPOSE AND MOTIVATION:

The extension program focused on sustainability actions in the Pedagogy course – Bachelor's degree aims to support the community through education, promoting conditions and reflections to optimize the community's relationship with the natural environment and the built environment, prioritizing the care and understanding of the environment. Such actions can reduce negative socio-environmental impacts and create a regenerative culture to generate positive impacts that will reflect on the environment, which are important to enable the continued use of natural resources in a sustainable manner. By identifying the community's environmental problems, students will be motivated to carry out support actions related to the course, through which specific technical and soft skills can be developed. The suggested program contents to correlate the actions are: Epistemological and sociological foundations of education; Environmental Education; Teaching methodologies; Educational Psychology; Education and diversity; Scientific thinking.
The locations that may include this project are: Schools; Basic Education Institutions; Non-governmental organizations, Neighborhood Associations, among others.
COMPETENCIES:
I – Perform basic and applied techniques, in the laboratory and in the field, in the educational context;
II – Equip the school community for critical, emancipatory and transformative social practice;
III – Develop products and processes of scientific, technological and educational innovation.
GRADUATE PROFILE:
The graduate profile of the Pedagogy – Bachelor's Degree course designed by the *** provides teacher training that values the inclusion of knowledge produced by sciences for Education, contributing to the understanding of teaching-learning processes, focused on the use of pedagogical strategies and resources that favor the development of knowledge and eliminate barriers to access to knowledge.
